About
Hi, I’m Chelsey Wilson.
Eight years ago I fell in love with clay and the magic of turning mud into something meaningful. My search for the perfect mug led me to create my signature belly mug - designed to be the one you reach for every morning.

My Journey
Mission
I’m completely obsessed with the way clay feels spinning through my fingers. There’s something pretty magical about starting with a lump of mud and ending up with something people use every single day.
My pottery journey actually started with a very serious mission: finding the perfect mug. After searching far and wide and coming up empty-handed, I decided the only logical solution was to make it myself. That’s how my signature belly mug was born. Complete with a cozy thumb rest and finger indents that make it ridiculously comfortable to hold.
Nature is a huge source of inspiration for my work, especially the ocean. Many of my glazes are inspired by coastal colours—turquoise blues, misty greens, and deep midnight tones that remind me of waves, sea glass, and life along the shoreline.

Vision
For seven years, my husband and I spent nearly every weekend exploring the mountain ranges along the West Coast near Vancouver. While most people were relaxing on Saturdays and Sundays, we were climbing peaks—often tackling hikes with 1,200-meter elevation gains.
By Monday morning, the adventure always caught up with me. I’d arrive at work hobbling around, every step reminding me of the miles and mountains from the weekend before. My husband eventually started joking that I was the “Sore Legged Potter.” The nickname stuck, and before long it felt like the perfect reflection of those years spent hiking high ridges, chasing views, and returning home happily exhausted.
What started as a playful joke became a name that carries those memories with it—of mountains climbed, sore legs earned, and weekends well spent.
